FTU is a remote terminal unit for distribution automation that controls and supervises circuit breakers in distribution lines such as load interrupter switch, recloser or RMU (main ring units) and measures various electrical quantities of the line and transmits data to the control center through remote communication.

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
We present a solid isolated vacuum recloser encapsulated with hydrophobic cycloaliphatic epoxy materials. The vacuum recloser with solid insulation is designed for the inherently reliable, intelligent automation and environmentally friendly, completely oil-free and gas-free. The advantages are permanent flexibility, superior resistance to tracking the surface arc, hydrophobic avoiding the formation of a continuous track of leakage current conduits, resistance to ultraviolet radiation and high tensile strength.
The control cubicle has polyurethane thermal insulation to minimize temperature variation and protected from solar heating by adopting the cover of sunlight to the outside and thermal insulation within the control cubicle. The openings of the control cubicle are protected against the entrance of the bugs and the door is sealed with a rubber gasket. Especially all electronic parts built in the control of the microprocessor is completely protected from the entry of moisture and condensation capable of being used in any place of tropical climate, moderate and in area of severe humidity.
A current transformer provides the functions of an overcurrent protection relay, ground fault relay, a sensitive ground fault relay and to measure line current, voltage, real and reactive power, power factor, demand watts and VAR, frequency, etc. All measured values and event records are stored in the microprocessor control for transmission or offline analysis.
